BA1CH VIE65T
-------------------------- FEB 1987 by Le6 Tro5ng Hie61u, VN Consulting Inc.,
62-65 Saunders St., Suite 1B, Rego Park, NY 11374.
Ba1ch Vie65t is a general term for the numerous principalities formed by
Vie65t leaders (a region of 100 separate states encompassing all of the
Southern China south of the Yangtze River). There is historic evidence for
the existing of Vie65t states: Nanyue center in Canton, Minyue in Fujian,
and Western Ou in Guangxi.
A long time ago, The Middle Kingdom reigned in Central Asia. Its power
center was located in the Five Mounts Territory. It was populated by many
races including the Vie65t and the Ha1n. The Vie65ts incorporated hundreds
of tribes and were known as the Ba1ch Vie65t, whose chief ruled the Five
Mounts Territory. The Vie65ts settled south of the Yellow River and
developed an agricultural culture, whereas the Ha1n in the northwest became
expert in hunting.
The Five Mounts Territory of the Middle Kingdom was ruled by three
consecutive chiefs:
- Toa5i Nha6n, who discovered fire
- Phu5c Hy, who discovered the I Ching and domesticated wild animals
- Shen Nong, who invented the plow and hoe, cultivated wild plants for
domestic use and taught his people to grow rice.
